A to Z Literacy Movement aims to improve the lives of Zambia's impoverished children through literacy development by providing schools and communities with quality books that inspire children to read.

Our 2010 goal is to provide as many books as possible to the orphans of My Fathers House and the children at Shine Reading Academy and Calvary Baptist School in Zambia.  Thanks to our donors, we have plenty of books, but we are struggling to obtain the funding to get the books to Zambia, as shipping costs are nearly $1.00 per book.  This cost includes the overseas shipping, the port documentation and port clearance costs and the cost of getting the container from the port to Zambia, a landlocked country.
